Welcome!
Scheduling therapy for your child or teen can be difficult for a host of reasons! My approach is responsive and compassionate. I will personally return calls and schedule appointments. The first step is to schedule a 10-minute consultation to discuss your concerns, goals, and unique circumstances. If we agree I am a good fit, we will schedule an initial evaluation session. Parents are encouraged to attend some, or all, of this first appointment. During this appointment, I will offer clinical impressions, establish preliminary goals, and set expectations for upcoming sessions. We will work as a team throughout the entire course of therapy to facilitate progress!
Sometimes, therapy is tailored to be supportive, short-term and solution-focused. Other times, therapy is designed to address more urgent psychological conditions that impact daily living and functioning. Dr. Floyd will create a plan specifically designed to meet the unique needs of your child/teenager.
Dr. Floyd treats children and teens ages (10+). Eating Disorder Treatment will be considered for those under the age of 10.
Evening appointments are offered to accommodate school hours and extracurricular activities.
